DEATHS
Luxford.? On 25th November, 1897, at Wellington terrace, Mary Luxford, in her 75th year. .

We regret to record the death of one of the oldest and best-respected residents of Wellington, Mrs G-, H. Luxford, which occurred on Wednesday. Mrs Luxford arrived in Wellington in 1813 with her parents, and in 1851 she mar tied Mr C. F. Hales, of Flat Point. Mr Hales died in 1863, and in 1865 Mrs Hales married Mr Luxford. The deceased leaves a family of four by her first marriage, and one child (Mrs H, M. Haywood) by her second. She was noted for her many benevolent acts, and her death will be deeply felt. Tho funeral will leave tho residence of one of deceased?s daughters Mrs West, of Bolton street to-day for the Bolton street cemetery.
