In 1829 went on the Darling to Mahia but on the way stopped, Kawhia, Mokau, Taranaki then thru Cook Straights to Mahia. Arrived Poverty Bay 16 may 1831. BURNS stayed Mahia until mar/apr 1832 trading flax, Stayed in NZ after his flax collected by Mr SIMS. .. Maori wife ... went to Povery Bay ... another pakeha at Werowero? BB
lived with Maori on East Coast. (MK)
1832 to Tolaga Bay to set up trading post. Stayed there about 3 years. JAM
left Poverty Bay about october 1834 on the Bardaster to Sydney 2 nov then to England early 1835. JAM
ESR has arrived Hokianga 1819. George (Barnet BURNS) White was in flax trader, Poverty Bay, in 1831.

In loving memory of Harry Bridger BUXTON, died 27 November 1847, and of his sons: John Parker BUXTON, whose remains are interred at Castlepoint, also of his dau, Sophia Streekin BUXTON, died 18 May 1886, and of Martha BUXTON, who died at sea, and Bridger BUXTON, who died in England, both in infancy, and lastly of Mary Ann BUXTON, wife, mother, and widow, who outlived all her family and died 19 October 1888, in the 93rd year of her age. Henry (Harry) Bridger Buxton immigrated to ENG to NZ on the Adelaide arriving NZ 7/3/1840 on 18 September 1839.
