John Williamson was born on 25 August 1815 in Newry, Co. Down, IRL, JGOC has age 66 in 1892 but this must be 76!1,2,3,4,5 He and Sarah Barre were married about 1833. He died on 16 February 1875, at age 59, in Newton, Auckland, NZ.1,4 He was buried in February 1875 in Grafton St Cemetery, Auckland.1
