Wikitoria (Wiks) Keepa Bailey was born about 1913 died aged 90.1 She died on 9 August 2003, at age ~90, died aged 90.1
Wiki Metekingi was proud of her Taranaki BAILEY family - Ngati Rahiri. She
was a master at the poi and wore the raukura plume. In 1990 at the age of 77
she made the journey to the US as part of the Taranaki contingent
accompanying the Te Maori Exhibition. (Obituary Wanganui Chronicle
13/10/2003).
Manu Metekingi grew up at Kawhaki in the old tikanga Maori way. Educated at
Te Aute, he held many positions as cultural adviser and was well respected
in Wanganui. (Obituary Wanganui Chronicle 6/9/2006).
