Thomas JOYCE. Reputed to have been born in Ireland. He married Keti Te Hei POUNAMU. They lived in the north, possibly the Hokianga. One of their sons was Thomas Edward JOYCE born 1832. I have a lot about the son but nothing about the father.

William Lewis (whaler) had 3 known wives. 1/Erina Wharekiri 2/Mihi Rautahi 3/Te Hirata. Erina & Mihi were sisters, their parents are Murataha & Kino, Erina had Charlotte who is the eldest, Charlotte marries John Torr and have 17 issue. Mihi had Archibald Lewis(1842-1940)who married Jane Richardson who had 11 issue. I have no known issue for Te Hirata wife 3
NOTE: previously had a third partner for William LEWIS. Te HIRATA. Have disconnected Te HIRATA as a partner until better proof can be obtained. William (Captain) Friday Lewis was an Operated whaling station on Kapiti Island in 1839.4,5
