Anne Shields was born on 28 February 1817 in Fenwick, Ayr, Sct. She and John Ferguson (FRAM) Scott were married on 23 November 1839 in Fenwick, Ayr, Sct. She died on 5 April 1882, at age 65, in Coalville, Summit Co., UT.

Margaret Shields was born on 14 June 1819 in Fenwick, Ayr, Sct. She died on 15 July 1841, at age 22.

John Ferguson (FRAM) Scott was born on 12 January 1812 in Duddingston, Edinborg, Sct.¹ He and Anne Shields were married on 23 November 1839 in Fenwick, Ayr, Sct. He died on 7 August 1878, at age 66, in Boud(Tree)Hill, (Near Glasgow), Scotland. He was buried in August 1878 in Baudhill, Scotland.

This is great information and will be helpful in verifying my Shields and extended lines. The Scott line (name) I know is WRONG because I have a document from my grandfather R.L. Scott that states his father met him at the boat dock just as he was leaving Scotland for America and told him that the family name is FRAM. His father had changed his name to Scott when he joined the army but didn't tell him his first Fram name or birth date so we can't document a connection. It's a very big mystery due to the fact that his mother Ann Shields came to America and lived with him for a time and he surely should have asked her about it. But Grandpa R.L.Scott never mentioned anything about the name change to his children until shortly before his death and by then had forgotten any details.
R.L.Scott and his sister Agnes did 3 generations of LDS Temple work on Ann Shields lines which indicate that Ann's parents were James SHIELDS and Margaret ANDERSON; her grandparents were Robert SHIELDS and Agnes TANNAHILL; John ANDERSON and Ann LAMONT. But these last two sets of parents are different from what most records others have sent in to FamilySearch, Ancestor or Rootsweb. Therefore I am trying to find the source and documented names for James Shields and Margaret Anderson's parents. So far I have not been able to do so.
And by the way, I'm not asking you to do the research for me, I'm just telling you my situation. I appreciate what you have sent me and am saying, "Thank you!" I will study the Tannahill information well in hopes I can find Agnes TANNAHILL or verify that Mary (as in this record) is the right name.LSW.

Thomas Scott was born on 2 March 1849 in Fenwick, Ayr, Sct. He died in 1854, at age ~5.

Robert Logan Scott was born on 18 April 1853 in Fennwick, Ayrshire, Scotland. He and Catherine Latimer were married on 11 September 1876 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. He died on 24 September 1940, at age 87, in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was buried on 25 September 1940 in Dublan Cemetary, Colonia Dublan, Mexico.

Harry Steele was born in 1875. He and Annie Maria Holmes were married on 4 September 1908 in NZ.¹ He died in 1951, at age ~76, in NZ.¹
