She arrived in Auckland with her parent the late George & Elizabeth Runciman in 1850 in the ship 'Cashmere'. Deceased is survived by her brother, Mr Robert Runciman of Papatoetoe.

New Zealand Herald 30-07-1917 Miss Jane Runciman, who died at Thames on Friday at the age of 83years was a very old colonist, having arrived with her parents at Auckland in 1850 in the ship 'Cashmere'. One brother Mr Robert Runciman of Papatoetoe survives her. Jane Davison Runciman immigrated to arrived Auckland 10 oct 1851 on the Cashmere on 16 June 1851.1,2
