Biography

Oliver William Wright was born in 1842 in Auckland, NZ.1,2,3,4 He and Annabella Wood Lind were married in March 1870 in Wanganui, NZ.5 He died on 6 August 1922, at age ~80, in Waimapu, Tauranga, NZ, died in Wanganui buried in Tauranga? WIKI.1,6
Need to confirm birth date. St Paul Register has born 28 mar 1839, BOI, but other sources e.g. Obit has 1842 Freeman's bay.
Family was living Mechanics Bay 1842
1842 seems most probable. If born 1839 would have been baptised in Paihia along with Thomas and Orontes? Also the passenger list for the Anna Watson has four children not five.

Biography
Oliver's parents Thomas and Harriet arrived in Sydney on board the Orontes in 1838 from England. Thomas worked as a contract carpenter and the family moved to Auckland in around 1841, where Oliver was born. He moved to Wanganui and married Annabella Wood Lind there in March 1870. By 1881, Oliver was the owner of land in Tauranga. His daughter Jane married Stephen Earl of Katikati and settled at Aongatete, and Jane's younger brother Sydney married Charlotte Earl (Dolly) in 1913. He had purchased land at Aongatete in 1912 and formed the first 3 miles of road to the property himself. This road is now known as Wright Road, in Sydney's honour.
