DIAMOND WEDDING.
H MR. AND MRS. R. H. FROUDE. Two of the oldest colonists in. Auckland, Mr. and Mrs, R. H. Frouaej., of Ho wick, will celebrate their diamond weeding to-morrow. Mrs. Froude, as a child of two, arrived from Cornwall with-her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry White, in 1843, on the ship Westminster. . Her rather was well known as a builder in the early days of Auckland, and many of its older brick buildings were erected! by him. Mr. Froude, who was born in Belfast, came to New Zealand in 1851' in the ship Mary Ann, and subsequently followed his trade aj, a builder. Since ,
their marriage in !86'2, with the exception of a few years' residence in Manchester, Mr. and' Mrs. Froude have spent all their lives in Auckland They have a family of one son and seven daughters, as well as numerals grand-children and great grand-children, Mr. Froude retired from business som years ago, and now, at the age of 86, be and Mrs. Frqiide, who , has 81 years to her credit, are spending their declinin ; years in Howick, which has so many aMcaatioas with the early pioneers. Robert Froude immigrated to IRL to Auckland in the Mary Ann in 1857.
