Thanks for your great work, Tony! There are 4 Bluett family members on the Olympus which arrived on April 20 1841. There was a fifth who has been left off. She was Thomas Bluett's wife, Mary, who was Peter Langley's sister, and mother of Mary Ann and Thomas junior. I am trying to discover how and when Peter got from NZ to Australia, where he married in 1848 in Melbourne. Any suggestions as to how I might do this, please DeLangley60 ( Ancestry.com)

1 One of the oldest and most respected residents of Upper Hutt, Mrs John Benge, died on Sunday in her eighty-third year. Born in Birmingham, England, the late Mrs Benge went to South Africa at the age of five years, with her parents, the late Mr and Mrs Isaac Wilkins.
She came to New Zealand eight years later, and at the age of 16, married the late Me John Benge, who died 25 years ago. Engaged in farming and sawmilling Mr and Mrs Benge lived at Te Marua, but at the death of her hisband, Mrs Benge moved to Martin Street, Upper Hutt.
Of a family of nine, seven survive their mother. They are Messrs J. T. and George Benge (Upper Hutt), H. V. Benge (Feilding), Ernest and Alfred Benge (Hamilton) and Mesdames J. Mabey (Taihape), L. Jackson (Hopeland) and F. Heard (Hastings) PECK.

Also on board was his brother Charles aged 38 with his wife Harriet, aged 35 and their daughter Sophia aged 10.. there is a comment on the passenger list that says "Sophia 10 years left behind in W.A." - now known she died during the trip and was buried at sea 'off the coast of West Africa' - Charles aged 3, Mary aged 21 months and Joseph, an infant. PECK. Job Mabey immigrated to ENG to NZ on the Olympus arriving NZ 20 apr 1841 on 9 December 1840.

Mary Jane was the first child of Rachel and Job Mabey. She emigrated to New Zealand on the OLYMPUS with her parents, aged 4 years, and her sister Sarah Mabey who died 2 months from New Zealand.
They arrived in Wellington (then Port Nicholson) on 20-4-1841.
She married James when she was 18 and he was 21 -
They were the 1st couple to be married in the newly build church at Taita
She had 11 (known) children - just as her parents had, from 1854 to 1879, by which time she was 43 and James was 46
All the first 9 children were born in Taita, don't know yet where the 10th, Mary Jane, was born, then the last child Job, was born in Sanson in 1879 - so after having pioneered the Hutt for about 25 years they moved north to the Manawatu
She died aged 85, 24 years after James - they are buried in Sandon Cemetery PECK. Mary Jane Mabey immigrated to ENG to NZ on the Olympus arriving NZ 20 apr 1841 on 9 December 1840.
