Biography

Thomas Hoseman was born about 1815.1,2 He died on 16 March 1846, at age ~31, in Boulcott's Farm, Lower Hutt, Wellington, murdered by Maori BOLCEM has 21 May (burial?)1,2
Thomas HOSEMAN died of wounds received at the so-called "Battle of Boulcott Farm" on 16 May 1846. He was the only civilian casualty in this incident, and he died in the Te Aro home of his employer, Joseph Boulcott. There are no cemetery records of his burial, and he is not listed in the St Paul's Church Register, but it is certain he was buried in Bolton Street Cemtery BOLCEM. Thomas Hoseman was a farmer Lower Hutt in 1846.1
