PPA has several accounts. Lunar held in Wellington 1843 due to some financial issues?
ELLIS also charge with attempted murder of James GREEN in 1844 in the Chatham Islands but found not guilty by jury PPA. William (Captain) Ellis was a Captain of the Lunar in 1843.1 He emigrated from transported from NZ in 1844.1 He was a crew on the Hannah in 1844.1

AKJAIL44 jailed 13 apr 1844 for 3 months hard labour in Auckland, occupation sawyer.
"I've been researching Newel (aka Noel) Gascon/Gascony/Gascoigne etc as part of my family history - he's my great x3 grandfather. We had placed him in New Zealand in 1845 with church records and arrests for drunkeness but hadn't seen the Auckland Jail record you've found for him which places him in Auckland Jail 1844. I haven't been able to find the official record for this, are you able to link me to it? " AMHO
