They arrived in Port Nicholson (now Wellington) on the 8th February 1840.
They had another 5 children in New Zealand.
They lived in Wellington for three years and worked for Sir Charles Molesworth on the first house built of NZ timber
Udy Street in Petone, Wellinton is named after him
He moved to Waiwhetu which is 3km south of Lower Hutt, near Woburn.
In March 1845 their home was pillaged by Màori - their home was not far from Boulcott's Farm
In 1853 they moved to Stokes Valley which is 11km north east of Waiwhetu. There he set up a sawmill and stayed for 4 years when they again moved to a 400 acre block of land at Matarawa which is 65km north east of Stokes Valley - over the Rimutaka Hill and a little north east of Greytown in the Wairarapa.

He was then nearly 50. He 'retired' in 1865
He married Jane when he was 24 and she was 21. They ad 9 (known) children.

and is buried with Thomas and their daughter Catherine at Featherston

William Osborne Williams was born in 1828 in St Issey, Cornwall, ENG.1 He and Frances Rebecca Benton were married in 1872.1 He died on 5 March 1914, at age ~86, in Greytown, Waiarapa, NZ.1 He was buried in March 1914 in Featherstone Cemetery, Waiarapa.1

Sometime between 1855-58 the Williams brothers all moved from Lower
Hutt to the Wairarapa region, living and farming at Tauherenikau.
William Osborne Williams moved to Wairarapa in the Autumn of 1855. He
ended up being an exceedingly wealthy landowner and horse-breeder in
the district. William married Frances Rebecca Benton in 1872 and they
moved to Kaiwaiwai in 1875. They had no issue, but William appears to
have been close to several of his nieces and nephews, employing some of
them and leaving substantial amounts of property to several of them in
his will. William lived out his final years in Greytown, passing away on 5
March 1914. He is buried in Featherston cemetery, with Frances. JCO. He had person sources.3 He was baptized on 25 May 1828 in St Issey, Cornwall, ENG.1
