WACH has "Mr and Mrs MARRINER , cousins of William WOON" ??
I'm interested in the early history of Hokianga and came across two names in your extensive lists (besides HOARE and MACE which are my father's and mother's names, but no connection as we have been here only since 1970)
These are Lieutenant MACDONNELL and Richard MARRINER.
Both these have a street named after them in Rawene. As I understand it they arrived here from Sydney in the early 1800s and MacDonnell set up a trading post or store in the upper Hokianga with Marriner as his storeman. Marriner eventually took over the business and had at least two sons, another Richard and Mat(t)hew.
Treat the above with caution, by the way.
I would be very glad to know if you have fuller or more exact information. I happen to have a MARRINER in my own tree and there are three main groups in the UK: Hampshire (my relation), Berkshire and Northumberland/Durham. I would love to prove a link but don't want to twist facts!

We also have a birth record for his son George, born earlier to a woman noted only as 'K'.
Family anecdotes say that K stood for Kataraina and that she does after his birth.
There are also suggestions that 'K' was the daughter of Makoare Taonui.
Hataritin is suggested to be her younger sister. POMA
From GENI one researcher has " Richard Hempley MARRINER and Hatariti / Karaina Hira and death of Richard 26 nov 1859

My Husband is a Marriner.
There is a genealogy book called "Tides of Time" about the Stanaway family that holds some of the genealogy for
Richard Hempley Marriner (son of Matthew and and his wife Rachel of Scarborough) a British naval architect who came to NZ in 1825 to buy timber,
Richard married a maori woman named Hira, in Hokianga in the 1800s, it lists Their son George Marriner who married Rora Karena.
(Richard and Goerge were later buried at Maungangungu )
And also George and Rora'sson George[2](Hori Marena) Marriner b.1864who married Hera Minarapa Tika, and the book lists their descendents. It was done in the 1980s.
Emailme polliarts@yahoo.co.nz if you want digital copies of any documentation, I have photographed the book too. Richard Marriner resided in Hokianga in 1827.
7 He immigrated to to BOI in 1836.
1 He was a sawyer, Pukeiatanga, Hokianga in 1838.
8 He was a sawyer, Hokianga in 1850.
