My interest lies with John Jones and his business interests, mainly shipping, in Sydney 1835 until he moved to Waikouaiti in 1843 and his Sydney estate was declared insolvent the following year, and subsequently his business interests during his time at Waikouaiti and Wellington 1843-1854 and Dunedin 1854-1869. IFA
11 children, 2 died in infancy. JJ. He immigrated to first visited Otago, NZ, in 1833.11 He immigrated to to Waikouaiti, with family on the Andover from Sydney, in 1843.1,2
