Thanks for the leads to follow up,In the attached letters I deciphered the 2 main ones but the scribble of the other notes are hard to read , The last,one of them has the date August 1849 so the dates when he left NZ would be after this, Louisa Shaw would be 7 years old. Her age on her father's death was 13. She arrived in Melbourne in Aug 1862on the" BLANCHE MOORE" occupation Milliner. The period between 1849 and 1862 about her life is a mystery .There is one more document in Archway Archives in 1841BOI when he wrote to the Colonial Secretary in Oct 1841 which I will obtainto see if it has any clues about her Mother's History also. LouisaShaw had 9 children and all were very respectable people so she must have had good parenting by someone. Missing Husband Henry Dawson D1900 Grace Louise D.1895 Age17. Arthur Christian My Grandfather D1914 of TB age 33. The only Photo Of Louisa Shaw and family GRBE. Louisa Shaw was baptized on 2 October 1842 in Russell, BOI, NZ.1,3 She emigrated from Akaroa to NSW, AUS, in 1849.2
