George Stevens was born on 27 January 1828 in Eastbourne, SSX (Burlington?), ENG.1,2,3,4 He and Mary Ann Ford were married.3 He died on 26 June 1876, at age 48, in Seacliff, Dunedin, Otago, NZ, cancer of the stomach.3 He was buried on 7 July 1876 in Riverton, Southland, NZ.3

also travelled from Sydney to NZ 18 apr 1853 in the Otago. He was baptized on 24 February 1828 in St Mary's, Eastbourne, SSX, ENG.3 He immigrated to Sydney to Riverton, SI in the Success, on 28 June 1843.5,6,2,3 He was a pilot to HMS Acheron on the west coast in 1848.3 He was a whaler and storekeeper in 1861.3 He was a farmer Steven's Bush, Southland, NZ in 1870.3
